Hello, my name is Carlos Silva and I am an Ocean Lover.

I was born and grew up on an island, called Madeira, a precious place surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean. Since my childhood I have had a deep connection with the ocean. I have always enjoyed being close to the water.

Every free minute I have spent swimming, diving, snorkeling, kayaking, free diving, surfing, paddling, sailing. It’s in my blood, I guess.

After finishing school the universe has guided me to start working on the ocean. I am a skipper and work on a catamaran, doing whale and dolphin watch trips. It’s my responsibility to protect and conserve the environment and its precious and beautiful creatures. I really love my job!

Already as a child I loved drawing and building things. Today I am using my skills to create art from whale bones, wood, metal and marine plastic debris collected at sea.

All my items are handmade with love.
